Giving Thanks
It’s important to reflect on what matters the most during this holiday season and also recognize and assist those less fortunate that are in need.
I wish you and your families all the best of health and happiness and thank you for being part of my community here on Know-Stroke.org as well as perhaps being part of our listening family and stroke community at the Know Stroke Podcast.
In the Spirit of Giving
National Family Caregivers Month – celebrated each November — is a time to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country.
Our podcast co-host Michael Garrow and fiancé Meg were featured in a spotlight by the American Heart Association. They recently had the opportunity to share their story of how stroke brought them together and offered advice for other caregivers. See AHA article
We talked about this article and both Mike and Meg’s recognition for their caregiver roles on the latest Know Stroke Podcast Episode 64 during the “In the News” segment of the show intro.
I had a chance to share my knowledge of nutrition on episode 64 and how it helped as part of my stroke recovery game plan.
I also provided nutrition toolkits and a replay of my Foods That Fit Nutrition Module from my new soon to be released Achieve Balance Course that can be accessed free for our stroke community by registering for the special instant replay or joining a rebroadcast session here.
I mentioned this during my last post Feed Your Brain: Using Food as Medicine to Fuel Stroke Recovery
