I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I was up early writing this morning before sunrise. I simply grabbed some water, my reflectors, my dog, some music and started out by 5am I was on the road for some hill climbs as part of my training plan for the BFit Challenge.
I had hit a roadblock in my writing, but that walk/interval run gave me a mindset shift and pouring a little oxygen into my neurons fueled by movement as the best medicine did the trick!
When I got back I had a moment of clarity, and I finally finished my chapter on the “Slinky Effect” in stroke aftercare. I had teased parts of this chapter out the end of last year but I just now completed that chapter. One more down, and I’m on pace to release my book, May 1st 2026!
Anyway, the video I built with the help of Gemini sums up not only my own writing as a promo from this new chapter but also cleverly weaves in several other physical therapy experts who are passionately leading the way to build a new path for recovery.
Mentioned in the video are some of the experts you should learn from if you haven’t already listened to them on the Know Stroke Podcast. Turns out it’s not just me trying to champion new pathways for stroke recovery. After taking a deeper dive, when you compare all of their combined ‘magic wand’ answers (all 7 of them, including myself who have been past guests as PTs and researchers on the show) we all want similar change for stroke care.
I’m simply writing about it and handing off the playbook, because if the truth be told we could do 100 more episodes and still just be talking about change.
Here’s the links to the PT guests episodes quoted in this video:
Unlocking the human superpower of neuroplasticity with Dr. Mike Studer
David Dansereau’s Magic Wand Insights: Transforming Stroke Care
Brace Yourself: Dr. Jennifaye V. Brown on AFOs and Stroke Recovery
{Author’s sidebar} I’m working on an clever audio version for release later this coming week which shares all 7 PT viewpoints!
Closing in on 100 !
💯 As we head into 2026 the count down offically begins for co-host Michael Garrow and I to reach our goal and 100 episode milestone before we close out the Know Stroke Podcast.
